Notes for Applicants
  • Applicants bear the responsibility to confirm with HKICPA that their bachelor’s degrees are recognised in meeting the student registration requirements of the HKICPA QP.

  • Expecting bachelor’s degree holders who will acquire the requisite academic qualification before the programme commencement may also apply for admission.

  • Both business and non-business degree holders are required to fulfill the pre-core program requirements before completing the MAcc program. The pre-core program encompasses courses in accounting, economics, information systems, intermediate accounting, management, marketing for accountants, and statistics. Applicants should demonstrate their fundamental knowledge in these areas through their official academic transcripts. Alternatively, students may fulfill the pre-core program requirements by completing equivalent courses from recognized programs. If applicants have deficiencies in any of these courses, they must, at their own expense, enroll in the prescribed pre-core program courses. These courses are non-unit courses with a pass/fail option and are designed to fulfill the competency requirements of the HKICPA QP. The availability of pre-core program courses offered by the Department is contingent upon admission demand.
